Faster Laptop Hard Disks

Tuesday 15 June, 2004, 05:04 PM

Finally, my cunning plan to make things happen by predicting the opposite in my blog seems to be bearing fruit.

Those of you who were quick on the uptake will have noticed that the European iTunes service was launched on the very same day that I wrote a blog entry mentioning that there was no such service. (I've now amended the entry to reflect the fact that Apple were evidently galvanised into action by my efforts. :-) )

This one, in which I whinged about the fact that you can't get 7,200rpm laptop hard disks larger than 60GB took a little longer to work. But finally, Seagate have announced that they are producing a 100GB 7200rpm 2.5 inch laptop hard disk.

Sadly these have merely been 'unveiled' - they're not actually shipping yet... They should be available in the autumn.
