Welcome to my new weblog!
As I write this, the web interface is a bit of a design-free zone, but everyone reads blogs via RSS aggregators these days don't they? Anyway, a prettified front end is in the pipeline for those of you still using those quaint old web browsers...
I work as an independent consultant, mainly working on .NET projects. I also teach for DevelopMentor, where I am also the author of the Essential Windows Forms course. When neither consulting nor teaching, I write, mostly for O'Reilly . I have written a couple of books: .NET Windows Forms in a Nutshell, and Mastering Visual Studio .NET. I also write a Longhorn column for O'Reilly's ONDotnet site, and I'm working with Chris Sells on a two books about Longhorn's Avalon technology.
I plan to blog about whatever interests me. This is likely to include many things GUI-related, but my interests are rather broader than that. Since I used to write device drivers for a living before a stint of broadcast digital video work got me into higher level stuff, I'll probably talk bits-and-bytes grunge quite a bit too. So that'll be anything from the sharp end to the front end. And there's a slim chance I might mention cars at some point...
